DRAGGING.....

I'm dragging back from a visit to Illinois to see my new great-niece and a mini family reunion.  We all had a great time.  Here is my precious new great-niece, Emma.  She is three months old and such a cutie pie.

I also met my nephew's fiancee, Allison, who is adorable.  The wedding is next August, so I will be going back north then.  I had a great time with my sister and cousins, we normally see each other only once a year.

So back to work........at least until March 16th when I will be R.E.T.I.R.E.D.!!!!!

LET ME INTRODUCE YOU......

 
This is MISS EMMA!!!!  

She is my new great-niece.  She is not even three weeks old and sure does not look like a newborn, does she?  She is wearing one of her Aunt Marcy outfits.  Aunt Marcy went a little "crazy" buying all those adorable girly-girl clothes and about a dozen pair of those precious teensy tiny shoes too!

Now I have to book a trip to Illinois to meet her in person.  I sure hope my sister (her grandma) will let me hold her, I may have to fight her off?????!!!!!!

 

I AM A GREAT AUNT!!!

Well, my niece thinks I am a "great" aunt, but now that she is a new mother, I am a great "great" aunt!!!!

My little sister is finally a grandmother!   Her daughter just had a baby, named Emma.  We are all so excited, no babies in this family for a long, long time!!!!   So I sat down to make a "congratulations" card for my niece and this is what happened.

 
I am in Georgia and they are in Illinois, so I have not met Emma yet, but hopefully soon.

 

Our Home & His Pond

Then our son, Tom Jr., sent some photos of his new pond (which HE built, amazing)!

 
 
So, don't you think HE should build a pond at OUR house now???  I certainly think so....

 

Bubbie is a Star !!!

Our sweet son, Bobby, and his wife and her son visited us over the weekend from Florida.  They fell absolutely in love with Bubbie.  Lisa took this video, so I guess Bubbie is a "star" now???

They live in Port Richie, Florida and we have not seen them since the wedding exactly one year ago.  Bobby is a big, sweet, lovable teddy bear and Lisa is Ms. Full of Energy!  I am totally in love with my "new" grandson, Sammy.  He is so cute and a darling personality.

 
 
And our other "new" grandson, Alex, is in the Marines.

 
Aren't we lucky?  Just wish they did not live so far away!

This was a great Father's Day weekend.  I wish there were an "in-between" part of family - either they are with you constantly (my prior life) or they live too far away.  About halfway in between would be great!!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NECKLACE

My "little sister" had a birthday on December 7.  She has had her hands full with work and caring for her mom-in-law which has been stressful.  We do not normally exchange birthday gifts, but I figured she needed a little "sparkle" in her life right now.  So, I made her this bead embroidered pendant which is very conservative (for me) but she is not gawdy like me!!!   She should receive it on Wednesday, so I am posting this on Thursday.  I call it her Un-Birthday gift.
